“…the belief that knowing oneself deeply will have complex positive effects; that being honest (relinquishing defensiveness or replacing the false self with authenticity) is central to health and especially to mental health…” Nancy McWilliams

BACKGROUND

My specialty is working with men who are coping with trauma, especially veterans, formerly incarcerated individuals, and officers. I’ve been working in the therapy/social work field for over 6 years. Most recently, I provided mental health treatment to incarcerated folks at the Monroe Correctional Complex. During this work, I also volunteered on the CISM (Critical Incident Stress Management) Team, now known as the Response Stress Team (RST). While on this team, I worked alongside fellow correctional staff members, mostly officers, to provide peer support after traumatic incidents. Before that, I helped unhoused veterans find housing and other resources through the VASH program and interned at the municipal mental health court in Seattle. I enjoy helping my clients meet their goals of strengthening their relationships and coping with stress.

I am a licensed clinical social worker in the state of Washington # LW61420042.
